Tower Transit operates bus services in the Channel Islands - LibertyBus operating in Jersey, In 2025, LibertyBus was awarded a 10-year extension to continue operating Jersey’s public bus services, reaffirming its strong performance and trusted partnership with the Government of Jersey.
Following the announcement, the United Kingdom’s Local Transport Minister, Simon Lightwood, visited Jersey to explore the success of the island’s bus franchising model. He praised the approach as a "gold standard of franchising" — particularly effective for rural areas and smaller towns — and acknowledged the achievements delivered over the past decade through the collaborative model in place.
LibertyBus delivers public bus services under contract to, and in partnership with, the Department for Infrastructure at the Government of Jersey.
Operating 7 days a week, 362 days a year, Liberty Bus connects people to approximately 800 locations around the Island of Jersey.
