Torrens Transit has proudly raised an impressive $3,241 for Loud Shirt Day, an annual national appeal supporting deaf and hard of hearing children.
The fundraising total was achieved through the collective enthusiasm and generosity of Torrens Transit team members across its South Australian depots, who participated in the day by donning their loudest, most colourful shirts and coordinating various fundraising activities.
Loud Shirt Day raises funds for Can:Do 4Kids, a leading provider of early intervention and support services for children of all ages who are deaf, blind, hard of hearing, low vision or are experiencing developmental challenges.
Torrens Transit Managing Director Andrew Jenksinson said the strong result was a testament to the team’s community spirit.
“This is a fantastic achievement and reflects the generosity, enthusiasm, and commitment of our people to supporting such an important cause,” he said.
“I would like to extend my sincere thanks to everyone who championed the fundraising activities across our depots.
“Their leadership, coordination, and encouragement played a key role in making this initiative such a success.”
The funds raised will go directly toward supporting children who are deaf or hard of hearing programs, ensuring children can access essential early intervention and hearing technology services.
