Karrinyup becomes Perth's largest EV bus depot

A major milestone in Western Australia's public transport electrification journey has been reached, with the Karrinyup Depot now home to Perth's largest electric bus charging facility.

The depot has been upgraded with 56 dual electric bus chargers and 112 charging plugs, supporting the state's transition away from diesel-powered buses. Currently, 53 electric buses operate from Karrinyup, with that number expected to grow to 110 by the end of the year.

The project was delivered by JET Charge, which retrofitted the depot with charging infrastructure while also completing substation and CCTV upgrades to support the growing electric fleet.
