After more than 40 years of dedicated service to South Australia's public transport network, Torrens Transit celebrates the outstanding career and lasting legacy of Area Manager Joe Greenwood.

After an outstanding career spanning more than four decades in public transport, Torrens Transit proudly announces the retirement of Joe Greenwood, Area Manager, effective 31 July.

Joe began his public transport journey with the State Transport Authority (STA) in July 1985 and joined Torrens Transit when the company commenced operations in 2000. Over the past 25 years, he has played a pivotal role in supporting the business's growth and success, helping build the strong operational culture that continues to underpin our organisation today.

Throughout his career, Joe has been widely respected for his leadership, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to both our customers and our people. His extensive industry knowledge, practical approach to problem-solving, and genuine willingness to mentor and support others have made him a valued colleague, trusted leader, and an inspiration to many across the business.

As Area Manager, Joe has made a significant contribution to operational excellence while guiding and developing countless team members throughout their careers. His dedication, enthusiasm, and commitment to delivering safe, reliable, and customer-focused services have left a lasting impact across the organisation and created a legacy that will continue to benefit Torrens Transit for years to come.

While we will certainly miss Joe's experience, leadership, and friendly presence, we are incredibly grateful for his outstanding contribution to Torrens Transit and the South Australian public transport industry over the past 40 years.
