Go West’s Darren Babich recognised with BusWA Safety Award at the 2026 BusWA BCI Bus Show
Go West Tour’s Maintenance and Procurement Manager, Darren Babich, has been named recipient of the 2026 BusWA Safety Award, recognising his outstanding contribution to improving safety standards across the bus and coach industry in Western Australia.
The award was announced last week at the BusWA BCI Bus Show and AGM, which celebrates its members and the continued strength of the industry in supporting the bus-travelling public across Western Australia.
Throughout his career, Darren has consistently championed practical safety innovations that enhance both driver and passenger wellbeing. Most recently, he played a leading role in progressing two significant safety technology trials across Go West's Pilbara resource contract operations: Advanced Emergency Braking System (AEBS) trial and Teletrac IQ Camera System, incorporating AI-powered driver monitoring and risk management technology.
Transit Systems CEO, Micheal McGee, said Darren’s recognition reflected his sustained commitment to lifting safety standards for drivers, passengers, clients and the broader industry.
