Transit Systems sets the standard with successful ISO recertifications

As Australia’s largest integrated multi-modal transport operator, Transit Systems has cemented its position as a leader in transport excellence, following a series of successful audits across key operational areas.

Transit Systems South Australian division, Torrens Transit, achieved recertification for its ISO 55001 Asset Management System (AMS) – a result that reflects the strength and maturity of its asset management practices.

Transit Systems NSW completed its surveillance audits for ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management), and ISO 9001 (Quality Management), reaffirming the organisation’s unwavering focus on safety, environmental responsibility, and service quality.

According to Mark Peters, Executive General Manager Business Operations, Transit Systems, the achievements speak to the dedication and professionalism of teams across the business.

“These certifications represent our commitment to deliver safe, reliable and sustainable transport solutions for the communities we serve.  Every bus we operate and every decision we make, is underpinned by these rigorous standards,” Mr Peters said.

“These audits are conducted as part of our regular recertification and surveillance cycles. They involve a thorough review of our systems, processes and operational practices to ensure we are meeting, and in many areas, exceeding the high standards we set for ourselves.

“Auditors again highlighted our proactive lifecycle asset management and focus on preventative maintenance as clear strengths - a credit to our dedicated teams who work tirelessly behind the scenes.”

Looking ahead, Mr Peters said Transit Systems remains focussed on further enhancements.
