  • Transit Systems acquired its first marine business in Moreton Bay, the 'BITS' passenger ferry service

  • Awarded North, South & Outer North East bus contracts taking market share to 73%

  • Retains Claremont & Belmont bus contracts

  • Acquires Big Red Cat vehicle ferry service to North Stradbroke Island

  • Retains Midland bus contract

    2010

     

  • Awarded GLNG & APLNG marine contracts in Gladstone for the construction of the LNG facilities on Curtis Island

  • Retains East-West bus contract

  • Commences operations to Curtis Island LNG plants

  • Wins Marmion bus contract

  • Contract ended – North, South and Outer North East

  • Acquires Stradbroke Ferries

  • Contract ended – Kalamunda

  • Tower Transit is established with the acquisition of London bus routes from First Group Plc.

  • Only new entrant awarded Sydney Metropolitan Bus Contract (Region 3).

  • Stradbroke Ferries celebrates 50th anniversary

  • Wins first contract tendered in Darwin to run 40% of network

  • Wins ongoing operational ferry contracts with British Gas, Santos and Conoco Phillips

  • Tower expands to Singapore

    Awarded first bus contract tendered in Singapore to operate 380 buses.

  • Wins Bunbury & Busselton regional bus contracts

  • Sells marine division to SeaLink Travel Group

  • Wins Albany regional bus contract

  • Acquired BRIDJ technology and launches demand responsive trial operation in Sydney

  • Acquires the North South & Outer North East bus contracts

  • Expansion to Sydney service area

    Awarded Region 6 contract in central Sydney with 1,200 staff & 600 buses.
