Transit Systems, Australia’s largest privately owned public transport contractor, has today announced its intention to tender for the Transport for New South Wales (TfNSW) Integrated Service Offering (ISO) operating contract in Newcastle.
Having built a market leading transportation business in Australia over the last two decades, Transit Systems CEO Clint Feuerherdt said the company has since benefited from the global experience gained by its International spin-off, Tower Transit.

Transit Systems has today sold its marine transport division (‘Transit Systems Marine’) to the SeaLink Travel Group (‘SeaLink’). SeaLink, an ASX listed company (ASX: SLK), has acquired 100% of Transit Systems Marine operations. The sale includes all of Transit Systems’ ferry operations in Queensland, including the assets and operations of Stradbroke Ferries, Bay Islands Transit and Transit Systems Gladstone.
SINGAPORE, 8 May, 2015 – London based Tower Transit Group Limited was today awarded the first tender under the Land Transport Authority’s new Government Contracting Model (GCM). The company is contracted to operate 26 bus services beginning 2Q 2016 for a period of five years, with the option of a 2-year extension.
