In 1998 the Office of Public Transport, Department of Transport and Urban Planning embarked on a program to replace its entire bus fleet with modern fully accessible MAN and Scania vehicles. These vehicles are fully air conditioned and are equipped with an extendable ramp and kneeling technology to make boarding and alighting easier for a wide range of passengers.

Over 50% of Adelaide Metro vehicles are fully accessible. If you require any accessible vehicle on your travel, call Torrens Transit on 8292 8100  on the day of travel to check if one is available on your route for the service you wish to use.
